The Department of Management Science offers broad interdisciplinary courses that utilize systematic and science-based techniques to produce optimal solutions to organizational and managerial challenges of the 21st century. These Courses include:
1. Master of Science in Supply Chain Management
Eligible candidates for the Master program should be;
A holder of at least an Upper Second Class honors Bachelor’s degree in procurement and supply chain management from South Eastern Kenya University or any other equivalent qualification from a university recognized by the SEKU Senate.
OR
A holder of a Lower Second Class Honors Bachelor’s degree in procurement and supply chain management from South Eastern Kenya University or any other equivalent qualification from a University recognized by SEKU senate with proof of 2 years relevant work experience, since graduation with a Bachelor’s degree.
2. Bachelor of Freight and Logistics Management
3. Bachelor of Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
4. Bachelor of Project Planning and Management
Eligible candidates for the Bachelor programs should be;
a) Holder of KCSE certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+ and a minimum of C in both Mathematics and English/Kiswahili
b) Holder of KCSE (mean grade C-) plus a three year diploma in a related field
c) Holders of KACE certificate with a minimum of two principal passes and a minimum of a credit pass in Mathematics at KCE.
d) Holder of qualification deemed to be equivalent to any of the above
5. Diploma in Supply Chain Management
6. Diploma in Project Management
Entry Requirement for Diploma courses include;
a) At least an aggregate of C- in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) or a relevant craft certificate for Diploma programs
The Department produces graduates with skills to apply science-based techniques to inform and improve operational and managerial decisions in all sectors of the economy including public administration, private investment, manufacturing, and service sectors. Indeed, these market-driven programs seek to address and offer solutions to the numerous challenges encountered in the economic and business fields locally, regionally and internationally.
